I bought a Sage Dual Boiler in April 2025 that was sold as "customer return in new condition". The machine started to have electrical and mechanical problems after 5 months, the team boiler was always heating and water leaking from the group head. I checked the serial number to prepare a warranty case and I find that the machine was made in 2021! Then I contact Digitec and find out that the device was actually 4 years old and returned by a customer in 2022 before then being used as a demo unit. This was VERY deceptive advertising, likely illegal. Digitec tried to refuse a refund but in the end I escalated to a member of management and he denied any wrongdoing in the product description from Digitec, but "graciously" offered me a full refund as "a gesture of goodwill". However, they did not even offer a gift voucher or any compensation for this deception and inconvenience that I suffered. Be careful when you order any returned product from Digitec! When you combine this low level of service with their dynamic pricing that causes constant variations in price it is hard to find reasons to use Digitec in 2025/2026.
