This was my first time ordering from Interdiscount, and unfortunately it will probably be my last.
I bought a monitor and discovered a dead pixel shortly after setup. I was within the 14-day return/replacement window, yet the store refused to exchange it because the box had been opened, and instead sent it to the manufacturer. This leaves me without a monitor for at least two weeks.
This approach makes little sense. You cannot verify a monitor for dead pixels without opening and using it. A return window that effectively requires unopened packaging is not practical for electronic products where defects only appear after use.
What made this more disappointing is that I previously had a similar issue with another retailer, and they immediately replaced the product until I was satisfied, without unnecessary back and forth. That experience set a standard.
The experience at the Belair shop was inconsistent. One employee was helpful and understanding, while another was dismissive and made me feel as if I had no rights as a customer.
To be fair, the price was very good and delivery was fast. However, after this experience, I’ve learned that next time I will gladly pay 20 CHF more and buy elsewhere for the convenience and proper customer service.
